Dear Sir or Madam,
From 19 to 23 June 2026, Bremen will host the anniversary edition—the 10th edition—of the German-Polish Festival for Young Musicians. This project has become firmly established in the calendar of German-Polish cultural cooperation and represents the culmination of our association’s long-standing and continuous work.
Over the past years, more than 1,500 young artists have been supported through this initiative. The festival provides a platform for intensive artistic development, fosters the professional growth of musical skills, and encourages the building of sustainable relationships across national borders. A central objective remains the strengthening of intercultural dialogue, particularly among young people from neighboring countries.
This year’s anniversary edition will bring together approximately 150 young artists, primarily from Germany and Poland, complemented by a group of musicians from the United States. Under the guidance of renowned educators from Germany and abroad, participants will further develop their skills in piano, guitar, accordion, flute, and choral singing. The program includes masterclasses, lectures, discussion panels, and seminars with psychological support.
Thanks to the kind support of the Rector of the University of the Arts Bremen, Prof. Dr. Mirjam Boggasch, the majority of artistic events will take place in the premises of this distinguished institution.
The highlight of the festival will be the gala concert on 23 June 2026 at Bremen City Hall, which will also mark the ceremonial conclusion of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Bremen–Gdańsk city partnership. The festival is held under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Berlin and the Mayor of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, Dr. Andreas Bovenschulte.
